Hey boys and girls just figured I would check in I just pulled my motor and trans out of the G body Cutlass and sold my Roller. I bought a older Cutlass thats been pretty much done for almost 20 yrs back half car weighs in at 3200 lbs was running 9.40's on alky but it was chevy powered.with a glide. I bought it Rolling gonna go pick it up next weekend bring it home and put my 461" BBOlds in it. Also put a brake in the T400 for this season and I just Sold that QFT 1050 on the 4150 frame and I will be getting with Justus to get my 1050 Dominator Converted to go on this car. The car was used very little only 175 passes over 20 years and it was well kept. But after looking over my G body and really seeing how solid it was I decided not to cut it up as I was not going to gain ss much weight loss as I wanted and the new chassis is alot better built car. So I will be getting into your heads hope yall are doing well and look forward to pickin your brains as this year its game on boys I am gonna be Whoopin Ass and Taken Names up here and puttin that old Rocket Racing Built 461" Olds in the winners Circle as much as I can. And I plan on Doing it once again on the E85 so looks like yall are stuck with me again. Hey Bean hope your Good Bro we will be gettin some pics real soon the new car sure is PURDY !!!

Well boys I talked to Justus today my Dommy's on its way to him and he sounded like its easy peesy!!!! I cant wait to get my motor put into the new old chassis I bought and this season is gonna get gooood!!! Hey Bean wake up whats up triplenickel gonna need a few pointers gettin her lit up but like I said its a little ways out heck it got up to 9 degrees here today. Ok talk to yall real soon gonna get busy!!!

whats up fellas? not much down here on the race car but I bought a old ford F350 crew cab 460 for power and cold A/C cause we need it down here LOL!!! sounds like the new roller is nice and hope it works better for you, I'm a 10" tire guy and have never owned a big tire car, I just know how to make small tires work, my buick had 1.37/1.39 60' and it only ran 6.60's so it was digging down low but anyway keep us posted on the new build and you will love the new carb when you get back

Well I went to Missouri yesterday got caught up in a Wicked snow storm got there about 5 pm last night picked up the car its even nicer than I thought it would be. Car is set up perfect for my Motor and Trans gonna order new motor plates tomorrow and get my trans apart and put my new valve body and trans break in it. I cant Freakin wait to get it done I will get pics tomorrow after I wash it. This was the first time the car has been in snow in over 20 years it looks like a barn find right now but when I got there it had a fresh wax job its truly a nice piece and I am just diggin the thought of taking it out gonna be a fun job its just a matter of hooking stuff up and should be done in the next 2/3 weeks YESSSS!!!!!

Same block and heads just up the bore and ci and put some titanium/ upgrade on the heads so I can turn over 9000 Rpms

Well I am just about done with my transplant on my motor and tranny. Got new motor plate mid plate went thru the trans all new everything. New stainless headers new Hughes reverse manual valve body and trans brake . Should have it fired up in another day or so I just went and got my drive shart back from the machine shop so we are very close. I got the Dominator mounted up just have a few things left to finish and its gonna be makin noise!!!!

Ok boys n girls I took the Olds out last weekend to make a few shakedown passes. I wanted to make sure I was not running lean with it so I made 2 easy passes first was a 6.78 1/8th mile pass not really even getting on it hard just making sure it was all working. Then a bit longer pass was a 10.60 but got out of it before the 1/4 as my mph was only 113 so you know I let out way early just being safe with it the track I was at had a short shut down area and I didnt want to get ugly with it. Checked the plugs ring around bottom was turning white but the strap on the plug was turning brown not green or blueish green and the porcelin was a bit tan all the way up. So I took it as running a bit lean because the temp came up kind of quick jumped to a 96/101 ran a bit cooler and was more manageable as far as temp also ran 6 passes with only leaving 5 minutes between passes. Still not leaving with my foot on the floor but on the chip @ 3400 rpms got a 4k ati treemaster stall on a TH400 was running 6.65, 6.69, 6.67, 6.71, 6.69 6.71 just giving it long enough to let the fan on my trans cooler cycle and get my tranny temps back to 170 between passes. We made 8 good passes but I checked the plugs before I left there still showing lean on the ground strap on the plug I am running R 5670-6 NGK plugs so I brought it home done a total look over on everything put my jets at 99 up front and 104's in the back this is on my Dominator 1050 that Justus converted its coming out of the chute like a beast but still showing brown on the strap the porcelin is brown up top so I am hoping this new jetting should put me closer to what I need. Still @ 30* total timing

I would take the P/V out and square it up, 104-104 or 105-105, I can't believe he left the P/V in the carb, did you ask him to??? its a race car it only idles or its wide open no need for a P/V, Just my 2 cents

Ok Bean do I just remove the power valve completely and run without it. If I remember he ran the rear without a power valve but left the one in on the primary's if so do I run my jets squared all the time then too. Thanks man hope all is well with your ride getting the bugs out of mine and its working I really dig having a big tire car with a trans brake again too.
