It is a 355 chevy. Stock bottom end. small comp hydraulic cam, stock vortec heads, 500 2 barrel. shift at 5400. always used mobil 1 oil. Only runs 8.27 in the 1/8th DEEP staged. May freshen her up this winter.

OMG!!!! you have got to be kidding me, 355 with a 2 bbl running 8.20's. on E-85 of course. when you freshen up are you going to change your combo or leave it alone?

Probably just put new rings and bearings in. Will probably do a valve job on the heads. ;D

Thats crazy man, I guess there is no desire to go any faster, thats like i tell my guys we bracket race for the same money whether you run 6.50's or 8.50's but I have some of my friends/customers that love to chase that number!!!!

well i got the car out today went to my local track thought the tranny was going out wouldnt pull in high gear 2 passes in a row kept running it got lucky it started running better my brother was driving and went on to win .....im driving tomorow ....hope i drive as good has he did

well i went to the track this morning thought i would give it a shot since my bro won.... i went 7.57 right off the trailer then a 7.55 dial a 7.56 the car went 7.58 in the dail in i left the 7.56 on the car first rd went dead on with a 6 2nd rd was bad i red lighted and the car never fails it went dead on 7.56 with a 4 i loaded up and went home....u cant win them all...

Killer job guys. Way to go nova thats a great weekend a win and a RU. My buddy Mark Romeo had a killer weekend on E85 again. Went to 3 on Saturday and won Sunday. Came up from 6th in points to #1 with one race to go. I also Picked a W on Saturday.
Sounds like a great weekend for E85.

yep the fear of putting a number on the window is long gone now.
if i can just get her to react faster .without taking a bump or four .....i had the same et from 60 ft. on thru 8 passes but i had to adjust the dial to the amount of bumps i went in . i couldn't use the the normal t/brake , flat to the floor /4000rpm was not an option .couldn't bump in above 3500 consisitant . so i went 1 bump at 2500 for eack .01 in r/t and e/t i needed

went out with the best set up and data from last outings win and tried to get the slight bog out by slowing the opening rate and moving the rpm ramp up .....ooops everybody including my educated butt said it was right on the test blasts ( it spun on the street though) took it out to the modifiers race and it dead hooked and bogged down worse . and lost everywhere .
so what i thought,saw and heard was a delay in the secondaries opening not a bog . so i thru out the restrictor and put in the lightest spring again and gave it more pump shot and delayed it
. feels great on test blast but ///// well see //// next is to fatten it up ,loose pv then last resort put anulars in .....dang 11.50 cars!...... if this was injection i would be done this by now .should take back my lm1 from bro's turdblow 4dr!
enough of the negitive
finally got the blow thru carb leaned out on bottom and it builds boost on foot brake and comes up on transbrake right to 12psi/4600 . got it to ramp boost uncontrolled on the compressor so fast it fried the tires at the 60ft .....only guys you ever seen happy to blow em off .
we have a rossler 2.10 th400 , n/c converter and carbon/alum. drive shat to replace the glide . all thoughts are the gear will get the weight moving faster to 40-60ft and stop the build up of stall/boost against the mass of the yacht and keep it hooked up but run faster to the 660.(pray) we can always ramp it back if it wheelstands but it has to dance past the 60ft. to work! lotta work to get in before shake down at e-town if it hooks stand back as we will test the diaper with 35 psi.
today it went 10.00 at 144 today in 80deg. air with only12 psi ramped to 1.3 sec to 16 pounds for 6.3 sec and 21 for last 3.7 . best guess is we will need the chute and will make the 8.50 index bump

Got another win last night with e85. The car was just nasty. In the semis dialed a 7.94 went 7.941. In the final dialed another 7.94 went 7.940. Its nice to trust the car. |

well not to bad this weekend ...ran a 7.610 off the trailer we got some cool air here in indiana i thought it would go far in et but ran no faster than a 7.55 got a runner up finish driver had a bad light in the finals...it did run 3 7.57's 2 7.56's had a 7.55 on it all day
