Gramps, do you like a 68 Impala? I know where there is one for sale. It's a fastback. It's like a barn find. It appears to be a complete car, just been sitting a long time. Don't know how much of a project you're looking for. You can check it out on dragcoverage.com. Go to forums & then to cars for sale. It's about 20 adds down.

I'll check that out, if I do an Impala I'd real like to do a 69. Chevelles are another option I love the 65s but then again it gets into crazy money. That's funny about the beer, last time at the track my wife rode with me to tech and we got out and she said, I finally figured out what it smells like.....a Margarita....I'm like seriously? I'll check that Impala out on the website though.

I looked at that 68 Impala and that one isn't for me. If it's to be an Impala it's going to have to be a 69. Something like this is more in my ballpark, I'm just not ready to buy yet. And you really got me with that flex fuel emblem I got a serious kick out of that so I got serious about it. detroit.craigslist.org/okl/cto/4998689525.html

On that emblem, I was headed out yesterday to pick up the trailer to get ready for Sunday and I would be going by my awesome Chevy dealer by me so I looked online real quick to see what the emblems were going for on ebay and amazon. $23.50 on amazon plus shipping, I figured if the dealership was anywhere close to that I'd just buy it from them. I buy enough cars and parts from this dealership that the parts and service people know me now. They let me go on the parts computer and look up my own stuff and also give me wholesale prices on parts. Total with tax $24.15, the emblem is the smaller one for the cars, the truck emblem is a bit bigger.

Hey Dan sounds like you got your game face on for tomorrow. I got the Cutlass loaded up gonna run at Lapeer tomorrow its the start of the points series and Money rounds. I got my tune Bud its just a tad better than when I had it in the G body but this car is almost 1000lbs lighter. I will be at Ubly on memorial weekend we are gonna run hard or go home. Sounds like the truck has served you well and thats really cool cause I had a feeling it was a good piece just needed the right parts. I got rid of my power valve like Bean told me squared off the jets at 104's and man what a difference takes its time warming up and is crisp like a cracker when you smack the pedal. These guys know what they are doing and I really like the fuel. I may have my sticker guy make me a big FlexfuelRacer sticker just to get the attention. Good luck Dan hope to see you this Summer Race Safe Buddy. Johnny

Hey good luck to you too John. And yesI agree this is a great forum, small but populated with people that know what they're talking about. I leaned mine down 2 jet sizes and opened up the primary idle screws just a bit. Today when I put it on the trailer it's the warmest weather we've had so far and the truck loved it, like you said the throttle response is seriously crisp. Report back here tomorrow for sure as will I.

Wow they just postponed the points race tomorrow until the 31st, they're having some kind of technical issues and want to make sure they can provide a fair race to everyone. The cool part of all this is for us guys who signed up for the points season they're going to let us test and tune for free. That works out just fine for me.
