Well we did fairly well this last race, went 4 rounds in Pro and 3 in Sportsman, the truck ran great and was real consistent all day long even though it was hot and humid. The losses were the fault of the loose nut behind the wheel as usual but we picked up some good points. I just can't find the sweet spot to leave at on the tree. If I leave when I see the last yellow come on I red light probably 98% of the time and almost every one of those is a .02 red. I have something I'm going to try in this next race so we'll see if it works out. No race this week thank God it's going to be 93 and humid today. As for the consistency here are the times of the 7 passes. 11.800 W, 11.793 W, 11.809 W, 11.799 W, 11.844 (let off) W, 11.789 L (red), 11.806 L. I wasn't holding any time back, I dialed it at what it would run and just ran it flat out all day and man was it consistent. Once I get this figured out we should do very well in this race series, but with only 4 races left time is running out this year. The next race is next Sunday so I'll report back after that.

Yep, looks like consistency is there. Care to let me in on what you're going to try?

Sure, at this point I'm willing to try pretty much anything. First thing I did was get a darkened face shield for my helmet, I'm hoping that might delay the light signal just slightly from getting to my brain. I am also going to try counting the lights down to myself on the yellows (1,2,3) and then leaving when I think 3 and see what happens with that routine.

I'm staging the same way each pass, and staging as shallow as possible, leaving at 2000 RPM on the foot brake. If the above mentioned doesn't help I may try leaving at a lower RPM and see what that will do. I set the timing up so that I'm all in at 2000 RPM and that seems to work real well.

The shield & launch RPM should work, especially the RPM. If those don't do it, there's always that crooked staging thing! Perfect for a loose nut behind the wheel!!!
