Mid 80's I had a 68 GTX 440 with 488's on the street it ran 8.0's in the 1/8th

It was a lot of fun man, I still remember the sound of thoes turbo mufflers (before flow masters) the best part was the G60x14 pro track street tires with 488 gears  what engine was in the fed and what did it run? |

Yeah, I remember those days fondly. My first car was a 67 Elcamino handed down from my dad. Had a 402 in it(among many others), 400 & 4.56. N50 tires & still no sign of traction anywhere on the street. Fun days fo sho.
FED had a 427 in those pictures. Ran 8.20's at 162.

my ride. nothing big, just a lil ole Duster sits with a big block now that runs on E-85. Soon it gets a 358cid Evernham Motorsports bullet on E-85.  |

I will run either and have run either.
Et is deseptive. 6.40 @113-117mph in the 1/8th thru muffs and on 6 year old M/T ET Streets.
I was spinning badly and just did not have the $$ to get new tires and rims as I want to go to a smaller rim width. That is all happening this year. I am hoping to get the car into the low 9's high 8's in the 1/4.
