What did you do to the front spring mounts? You still using the Slide-A-Links?

I took a set of front spring perches out of another leaf spring car and on my car just on the other side of the frame rail is a pocket same as the one with the original perch. I then welded some plate steal on the top side on the floorpan and welded up the the spring perch in that pocket. Drilled the holes through the plate steel reenforced it weled it up and we r ready to go.

Wheel Tubs are complete and intalled, Car is gonna look pretty sweet, just hope it works as well as it looks. Can't wait to get it out. We are starting on the new motor this weekend and then we will be ready to go.. Lots of good Bottom Bulb stuff this season, I can't wait!

Camshaft had 3 lobes eaten off of it, Crank had a groove eaten into it where the lifter was lodged against it, and cam bearings were junk. Other than that everything else was ok. We will be good to go in about a week.

We got the car fired up this weekend. Getting closer and closer with only a few weeks away from opening day. Only thing left is getting the mufflers, and front wheels and the piddly junk like alignments and that jazz and we will be ready to go..Love the smell of corn in the morning..

Eric what is the first race on your calendar?

Still have a couple things to get finished up on the car my first outting will probably be the first weekend of April, will probably go to a Test Session to get everything tweeked in. After that I will be following The Scotty Richardson Deal here in Indiana and following some money around a little. June 25th is the No Box Nats at ORP, and A couple of the SR deals are in May. Just gonna play it by ear most of the season, not dedicating my time to one particular place but will probably go to LRP the most since its FREE. I will keep you posted!

Mufflers are installed, carpet is in, only thing left is an Alignment and we are ready to go.

You set it at 0 toe Eric? That's what we always do and maybe cheat in 1/8th inch in for good measure. We are set to blow off the cob webs this weekend. It's been raining here a bunch so maybe we'll get to turn a tire. Can't wait to see how it goes Eric. Post a vid and link to youtube or something.
