Help the rain kept me idle this past weekend except for a less than stellar appearance at Brown County on Sunday, went out 3rd round due to a brain fart on the starting line. As of right now I am leading points at LRP by 10 with 2 races to go and up by 8 points at Brown County with 3 races to go. Big weekend this weekend as LRP plans to finish things up on Saturday. I'll keep you posted..

Welp the weekend started badly with it being the last 2 points of season i broke a rocker stud rd1 of elims wjich ruined my day saturday. Got it fixed up and went back Sunday and was able to win the race and win the points championship at Lyons Raceway Park. This is pretty gratifying after all the bs with the shiftlite. They gotta call me King of the Track and Points Champ.

Well I made it back from Edgewater but it was a long weekend. First got there friday night to take a couple hits at the tree, made one pass it went 7.220. Fueled up and went back out to a missing, popping 7.33.. Great 150 miles from home and car is screwed up, Took carb apart looked through it nothing, plugs? nothing, Ignition? Nope, So I called it a night at about midnight and figured I would jack with it a bit in the morning, go there bout 8am tried everything, called my wife and told her I would be heading home as I explained what was wrong and she says...."Is it bad fuel?" I had gotten some fuel off a buddy last weekend and had put it in the car before making the second pass on Friday, so I thought what heck I will drain it and put what I had bought Thursday night in it and see what happens, So I drained it filled it up with new, started the car and 10 seconds later the car was back to its old self.. Don't know what was wrong with the other but something was really wrong with it. Anyway went ahead a raced Satruday there were 100+ pro cars and we were on kill for most of the day, car had run 6 consecutive 7.21's in a row then round 7 we are down to 8 cars stage the car launch the car I knew I hit the tree get mid track and the car breaks something don't know what but lost power and we went 7.23 on a 7.20 dial and it was over..Get back to the pits broke 2 rocker arm studs then replace the studs and notice something funky going on with a pushrod, so come to find out I also broke a lifter, I run Hydaulic cam and lifters so we call it a night and make a game plan to fix it in the morning, get up head to Autozone to pick up a lifter, rip the intake off and grab hold of the lifter pull up and d**n IT, can't get the lifter out it has mushroomed on the bottom side and wont pull out, done for the weekend? In my car yes but a buddy offered me up his car for Sunday, went 3 rounds i it and went red in round 4. Hate to say it but man am I glad the season is over. Have a good winter and Happy Holidays everyone, see you in March...

Eric, didn't you have rocker stud problems one time before? Are they 3/8 or 7/16? Heck, as many laps as you put on it it's amazing how well it holds together anyway. Great season! I can't wait to hear how your 2010 season starts out. Have a good off season my friend.

Welp motor is torn down and its not good. Seems I have had a lifter issue for some time, actually 2 lifters were broken which caused the camshaft to be beaten up and the oil pump is full of metal shavings, as of right now we havent pulled any pistons out so lets hope its not a total loss, We plan to re bearing it at the very least, if the pistons are shot then we go back to the drawing board, I did order the new camshaft, I just can't bring myself to run roller stuff again after seeing no benefit turning the low rpms i am turning so I opted for a little bigger on the duration side of things to take away some of the low end torque to help with traction issues in the heat of summer. Also have ordered the new wheels for the back of the car (mini tubbing) and will be ordering new front wheels as well. Also will be changing gear sets to a 4.11 or 3.73 cant decide yet, next year we will be running a 29.5x10.5w series tire. Thats all the updates I have for now!

Man eric sounds like you had about the same results as I did the last race of they year. Broke the starter/flywheel at the thanksgiving race sunday while going into 4th round of super pro.
Good luck with it, updates are always good just wish the money flow would let me do all the updates we wanted to do!
