Been real busy at work for a while, but wanted to let you all know the little progress I made on E85. Last year my basically stock 02 Z06 on 93 octane Sunoco showed (injector duty cycle) IDC at 94-100% (no KR) at top RPM's so I added a Racetronix fuel pump Hot wire kit and with 25-30% ethanol by volume logs would still show IDC of ~94%. I never ran the car on the track on anything but 93 Pump fuel. Wanting to bring down IDC without spending a fortune and maintaining volume control my research led me to a Kenne Bell Boost a Pump which I added last week. With the voltage upgrade being controlled by a reostat set 25% higher and 5 gals of e85 in a 15 gal tank a second gear log pull 1800-6500 rpms showed an increase of 31 ft lbs of delivered torque with an IDC of 84%! ;D

Thats cool. Never dynoed the C4 but it is working well on the E85. Had to tune out some spark advance on the launch to keep it from spinniing the tires though.

Hi Jack, I haven't dynoed the Z06 either, I might make a few pulls when the tune is pretty much finished. With HP Tuners one can make a log using the computers own figures on what delivered torque is being produced. The actual number may not be exactly what one might get on a dyno but it's suppossed to be pretty close and accurate as to the difference in progress being made. I found it very helpful and since most dynos disagree with each other in exact numbers it's really not much different then whos dyno numbers do you believe. I agree with you on retarding at the line, my pump gas logs from last year (it was hot and high density altitude) showed the high IAT tables was pulling timing as the IAT was hitting 130-140 f. I run on street tires so spin in first and second is an issue, I try to leave at ~2700 rpm's and it's useless to powershift into second, just third and fourth. Ranger in the Corvette forum got his 2002 Z06 to high 11's by slipping the clutch enough but he also got new clutches around 125 runs! Not my cup of tea on a daily driver. The ethanol increased torque is not going to help traction but I have a few things I am going to try hopefully this Saturday!

I'm running BFG KDs. I keeep the car leaving soft due to the Dana 36 being so weak. Only get 1.85 60's. 12.80@108 -110. Depending on the air. Daily driver.

Well Jack right I wish my 60 fts had been 1.85's LOL! I am trying to get the launch torque down because at 2700-2800-2900 its a fine line from too much bog if I go below 2700 to too much wheel spin at not much higher then that! LOL Even without powershifting wheel spin hitting second can be pretty good. Just need lots of practice! LOL
Was going to go tommorrow but we we have had so much rain it's been rained out already! I know drag tires would helpa lot but once I get my race car on the track they would probably just sit there!

Thats a fine line to tread when you run a stick car. Good luck with that. Rain you say, LOL, we've been rained/flooded out every week since the second week of April. Scheduled to run tomorrow. I hope to be there.
