Just wanted to say hello to everyone on the board. I just placed an order for conversion kits from Heath and will be converting as soon as I get them.
I would like to thank Heath for all the help with my questions.

Yeah AJ, what Heath said..... You're gonna love it. I've only had mine out once with E85, but I could not have been happier with the way it ran. I will NOT be switching back to $7+ a gallon racing fuel any time in the near future.
Heath has this stuff figured out and he's not afraid to share what he knows. I knew he was going to get sick of answering all my dumb questions, but he never did. ;D

Thanks David. We went out to a test and tune last night and I happen to run into a well know race gas representative (real nice guy) that is pretty high up in the company. He basically tried to tell me E85 wasn't worth running. I think he thought we were there just trying it out for the first time. When he asked how long we had been running it and I told him four years and he saw how the cars that we where there with were running on it he got real interested.

LOL....That's awesome man. Been running race fuel forever. Carb was professionally built(APD). Spent 30 minutes installing your $225 E85 kit and car runs quickest and fastest it's ever run right off the trailer. Yeah, it ain't worth running.

I am getting excited to turn my babies loose on the E85. I had a question on suggested 1st tuneup.
825 BG Current jetting: PRI 85 SEC 93 (This is a little rich) Timing was at 38 Degrees 6.5PV 440 cu inch big block 11:1 compression Edelbrock alum heads with port work Card will now have .173 boosters and QF metering blocks and Heaths sizing of air bleeds. Cam is .520 - .540 lift and 244 - 252 duration @.050 5000 stall converter. Footbrake at 2500-3000 on the line.
Was running 110 Leaded with this.
This is in the Roadrunner 3600 lb.
Now the dragster: 383 SBC Brodix aluminum heads with port work 13_1 compression timing locked at 40 degrees camshaft .630 lift and 266 - 274 duration at .050 current carb setup 850 Demon 6.5PV Jetting 82 PRI 88 SEC .186 boosters will have heaths size air bleed QF metering blocks
What should i try as initial setup?
Thank you.

AJ I included some starter main jets for you that I thought would put you in the ballpark after studying your combinations. I also included some 4.5 power valves for you to tune with. Remember that the difference in the QF blocks from running a PV and not is 8 jet sizes so if you do decide to block off the primary just jet up to compensate. The only thing I would do is probably drop the total timing back a few degrees once you get a baseline with what you have. I think you will find that E85 will like less lead.

Heath that is great. Thank you again for all your current help and the help to come. Once I get the tester I am going to test the local stations here and buy from the one with the highest content.
I am going to run the PV and as soon as I get the conversions complete I am going to check the vacuum to verify that we have the proper valve.
I will leave the timing the same to start but will back it off once everything is running. Do you suggest I back it down before I go to test the first time?

You can start with the timing you have so you can compare apples to apples by only making one change at a time.

I will do that.
I went and bought my first 5 gallons of E85 yesterday. Felt great to fill up a 5 gallon race jug for 10 bucks. Shoot 10 bucks would only get me about 1.5 gallon of 110 race fuel. I am liking this stuff already and havent even tried it. Cant wait to get the kits and fire them up.

Well fired up both on E85 today. Sounded great. Idled great. Hit the 2-step nice so we are ready to go. Everything sounds good.
Had some issues with one of the kits but got it working. Heath I will give you a call on what I ran into.
Cant wait to hit the track. Only 2 weeks then we can let them run.
