I am sure they are sourced from the same place. When I talked to summit they said it was NOT alcohol compatable.?? The A1000 I am running also wasn't recommended to be used with alcohol. I want to a PRI show and talked to a few reps at the Aeromotive booth to see if they had any complaints about people running their pump with E85 as the fuel. They said NONE at all. Guess it must be the gasoline chaser!

you have to watch the s/s is a different element and oring than the gas /paper type with the same housing and it is listed as gas and alky safe!
