Can a Q-jet be modified to work on E-85? Street machine only, 454 with a 4-speed.  |

your going to have to get someone to really open up the booster ports and some how get the bowl volume up by modfying the one passage /voids to be bowl. ... i have a friend that does s/s carbs ,i'll ask .i think as long as it is a mild combo it should be ok. . the weakness is the float/needle seat .they dont like alot of psi and dont flow alot .....figure this if a 9 sec s/s camaro runs a q-jet you could run 11.00 if the metering ports can be open enough to flow e-85
