Wife ain't much of a photographer, but here's a pic of the new ride first time out last night. Holy cow what a difference from the old Vega. Everything went fairly good except the car was getting too hot and it just was not idling like it should. I don't know if it's just too lean or if the cooling system that's on it is just not gonna be enough. Ran 5.48 at 126 three times in a row so I was pretty pleased with that.

LOL....That was the wifey's guess. I had a 5.55 on it 'til she changed it. Knew it was gonna do better than a 75 when it ran an 88 the first pass coasting from about the 330 to the 1/8th.

Thanks for the compliment. It has been a long slow project. I have a lot of fun in it on the week ends. It cruises just as well as it runs at the strip. Here is the full project. members.tccoa.com/392bird/

I can't take any credit for this boat. The owner did it all himself, and did a great job. My brother and I just did his engine and injection system for him. He took it to the lake today and is as happy as a clam. He loves the throttle response of injection over carbs. But you would not know about that.
