Hey Everybody,
I'm new to the board and I am interested in the switch from 110 racing to E85. My combo is: 72 GTO set up for bracket drag racing with consideration for livable idle and very limited street cruising. 465 Pontiac with 600 to 625 HP. 12.5 to 13 to 1. 272 @ .050 and .635 Solid Roller. Mid ten's with a 1.4 '60 and 129 mph. 9375 Holley dominator(old style - non-HP) Mallory 250 pump with #10 inlet to ,#8 outlet to Mallory 500 regulator with a #10 return to cell and 2 #8 to fuel bowls.
Please consider if the switch could be done with minimal changes to current combination?
Thank you for all your assistance.
Thanks Again, CraigG.

Hey Craigg, RaceonE85.com built me a 1050cfm E85 carb and its perfect. My engine is real close to yours. 468 13:1 comp. 700+hp Holley HP150 fuel pump. I know the switch will be no big deal for these guys. They will convert your lawn mower if you want. LOL ;D The E85 runs great when set up correctly. You will not be disappointed in the work that they do.

Thanks for the kind words Kirk and welcome to the board craigg. Your combo sounds perfect to convert. Your fuel system is ideal for E85. One thing I didn't see is what filter you are running. You just want to make sure your filter is capable of flowing as much as your pump is capable of pumping if not more. Don't worry about having and "old style" dominator, they convert just as well. What I do need is the list number off the carb so I can make sure all the right parts are in the kit. If you want to do it yourself the complete 4500 kit is $300 plus shipping and your good to go. If you want us to convert and test it for you it's just $100 more plus shipping. After that you will just need a test and tune to get your main jetting and ignition timing optimized and the next thing you know your racing and going rounds on less that $2 a gallon fuel. It's a beautiful thing craigg .

Hey Guys,
The filter is a stainless steel screen - 2 x 10 - 10 AN. Thanks Again, CraigG.

dont forget that in brackets the richer the mix to get ideal lambda will make it less sensitive to weather change and more consistent= more rounds the car saves your butt and the less of a guess your dial is will give confidence to drive the stripe!!!

Great advice adamsvega and you are so right. A little leaner may be quicker but safe and fat runs the number.
