After checking the E85, with the methods on here, if the content is 78% and you need it to be true 85%, how do you adjust the fuel to get true E85?

Unless you have a source for E98 or make your own E100 legally I would say you can't "adjust" the fuel but you can adjust your tune all the live long day. Using the rule of thumb that you increase the volume from gasoline by 25-30% for E85 and safety jet up 8 to 10 sizes you would just work your way backward from there. For E78, which is probably just the winter blend in your area I would start by taking one or two jet sizes out of it. It should still run about what it did on E85. Yes the octane will be slightly less but it's still 78% ethanol which is more than enough to give you all the benefits you converted for in the first place.

Thanks for all the help and info Heath ;D. I almost forgot, I am using Holley nitrophyl notched floats in my carb, will I have to change these?

Haven't experienced that one Adam. So your saying the plugs swelled and stuck the floats or the plugs swelled and the floats stuck also? I would suspect the needle and seat sticking the floats more so than the sight plugs. We use stainless steels in our kits and conversions. We also set our floats a little different than most so the sight plugs are less of an issue anyway.

the portion of the threaded end in the bowl was just enough to grab the edge /float and not let it seat the needle . this was a switch to velaro e-10 from std. 94 sunoco -it kinda melted and got mushy -it is what got me thinking about e-85 .the car picked up and ran more consistent on the velaro !!!!!
