got a 25 cent question for adam..
will e85 mix with nitro and do you think i could run 3 to 10 % without breaking the toy.
12.5/1 compression 489 forged bottom end, steel heads
want to give em something to smell at cruise nights.
It was recommended by another driver that I pull out my jets if I try it. What do you think???

oh so funny you ask ........ yes it will mix but because of the gasoline element you can get "clumps" of nitro molecules surrounding the "gas" that dont want to mix . to be safe you must add some acetone to the mix .to keep it suspended . it keeps it happy and you wont get freaky detonation if it sits for any lenth of time still . same goes for nitro propane (alot easier to get) or polypropylene oxide spelling is way off ...//??... .
i have put up to 2.5 gals. nitro and one qrt. of ace in 50 gals of fuel . and on average you need to richen the mix by at least 1 jet size per % and loose 1 deg off time . a get cold plugs!
to 15% your still safe in a conventional engine with normal compression 9-13. anything more your on your own.
we only did the 15% in an injected alky bbc for a fake nos disconnect on a street race . the small nos tank was the cackle and the ball valve was handle backwards so when we pulled the nos plate lines we "shut" the feed line off for no leaks ...this dumped all the "fuel into the injection surge tank ........ about 1/2 way to the burnout the way fat pill was just starting to get happy as it mixed back into the left over alky into the tank, closed the lean out valve and cackled away to late the deal was sealed. hey it was cheap way to get about 130h/p they didn't know we had ....its all in the deal!

add some pina-colada top lube/scent .this will linger long but they will still get all teary eyed at 15%

ok- just wondering, the first info you gave me seems to be 5% nitro 2.5 gals nitro to 50 gals fuel. Big question-will it start up with this mix or up to 15% or does it have to be running and bled or switched over. Don't want to blow the heads off trying something for fun  thnkx |

it will start and run just fine .that was just to give ya the mixture of acetone to nitro to fuel .
just jet /time accordingly. the stuff will stay in a seal container of the fullest size . i ran 5% in the vega to get back the et for altitude or bad summer days ......oops cats outa the bag . looks funny for a whole season never moving the dial no mater where more than .06 .i would run the weather and the h/p correction number and tip the can accordingly ...just cause i could!

yep-did the rc airplane thing for years. Only ran 12.5% nitro
tooooo much castor oil in the mix. Fun hobby tho. Easy to take off and one way or the other they always end up on the ground.

we use klotz 1 gal cans they are real exp. to ship though .better to get it in bulk from a racer .as the hazmat is the same for 1-5 gals shipped to you .last single was 61$
but hey you can mix up that stuff for 7.5$ a gal. @8.5%

Bringing this back from the dead. Lol. What exactly do I need to run some nitromethane in my 2020 F-150 coyote truck? It has direct injection and convention fuel injectors. Total of 16. I run GEM fuel now but would like to step it up. All motor truck. I’d like to mix it with E85. My understanding is I also have to run acetone to let everything mix together and not separate. I’d be mixing it in 5 gallon cans to bring to the track. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
