This is my curent set up. 68 firebird 474 pontiac 12:1 comp edelbrock heads victor intake APD dominator carb areomotive 2000 pump #12 out of cell to pump #10 up to reg #8 to carb. Where should I start? I am going to call APD and ask them if they have done any carbs for E85. I do know that when I got my carb back from them it runs 4 jet sizes smaller now then before so I assume it flows more or more efficient. My curent fuel VP C12.
Thanks.

Hello xsivpwr and welcome to the board. I know APD builds great carbs. I briefly checked out their web site and didn't see that they are doing anything with E85. When you call them they may tell you differently. We of course could convert it for you or sell you a D.I.Y. kit to do it. Your observation is correct about them creating more flow therefore reducing the main jet size. Your fuel system sounds like it's good to go and your engine combination will love E85 for sure. I am curious to know what they tell you at APD when you call them.

I called APD, they do E85 converstions...another $500.00 bucks. Going to have to think about that for awhile I just had them do this carb less then a year ago. I really do like the idea though.

$500.00 really? And you are a repeat customer, WOW! As you know if you still want to convert you can do it yourself with one of our kits for a lot less. Don't take my word for it. Just ask anyone on here who has done it with a RaceonE85.com kit and they'll tell you. PM them if you like. If your not sure about doing it yourself give me a call and we'll talk about it. I think your combination would really like E85.
