Was nice to finally talk to you last night Heath. Thanks for all your help answering all my dumb questions. Really excited about trying the car on E85. Kinda hard to think about racing with all the ice we have on the ground right now, but hopefully it will warm up around here so we can go try it in a couple of weeks.
I'm sure I'll have more dumb questions....I have your number. ;D
One thing I was going to ask you was...I have my distributor locked out....I assume this will not be a problem??

Good talking to you too David. Like they say, there are no "dumb" question just "dumb" answers. I'm happy to share everything that I know to be true with you about running E85. I looked up the weather for Missouri for today, man that's not my idea of fun. Your distributor is fine. You'll just have to find out what kind of timing it likes after you get it going. Thanks and keep the questions coming.

Heath, I just thought of something. I think I told you my carb started life as an 850, but after thinking about it, I don't think that's right. I'm pretty sure it was an 800(4780). So my baseplate is from an 800, not an 850....if that makes any difference in the combo of parts.

Should not be a problem. You have been running the Proform 850 main body on it for a while now if I'm not mistaken right? The jetting will still be right based on how it ran on gasoline.
