Whats up bill, hey man you dont wanna do that, in order for your carb to work properly you would have to change the blocks or have them modified and change air bleeds, w/o doing so Chris Walters tried this a few years back and had to run like 120's front and rear to get it to even idle. Heath can jump in but I dont advice it.

Well just save a little of those winnings this season and you can swing it, when you decide to do something with it I will help you all I can, and Heath is the man he'll answer anything I cant, but seriously dont try it, you may be able to get away with mixing it with regular fuel and playing with the jets and stuff. Let me know if i can help

Hi guys, sorry - been busy today and haven't had time to check the message board. First of all welcome to the board Bill. What carb are you running now? We may be able to get you by with a cheater combination until you can step up to the right stuff. Eric's right, just changing jets won't cut it. We are actually working on some cost saving measures right now that could play right into your hands Bill so stay tuned. I know you want to get on it as soon as possible by the way you see Eric running.

heres what i have...89 dakota 371 3500 stall 4.56 rear running very consistant 7.7's carb was a 600 vac. sec....this year got a used but good 650 dbl pump(4140-4777-4)not an hp,..i run 2 classes and was considering the e85 to help with cooling...oh yea this is driven to the track so temp. is crucial...i dont have any problembeing consistant but fromwhat i here about the e85 it could make it even better...so i dont have the money left to spend on a big/better carb upgrade...but it may wait till next year...i would really love to get this started this year before pinks all out gets here...yea i have raced against eric and watched him many times in the last 2 years and that car is deadly for sure but can be beat for a wally...haha thanks for the help

Bill I tell you what, if you want to play around with the 650 DP and keep the 600 as your primary carb I'm game. Let me just state for the record that I'm not responsible for the results of this experiment but if your in I'm in and let's do it out here on the board for all to see. I feel like I know a good bit about this stuff. I'll lay it all out here for you and you can be the judge. So reply to that before we go any further please.

Your not sure what I'm saying? I'm talking about the spirit of hot rodding man . I didn't mean to scare you with the whole "for the record" statement. I was just throwing that out because you would be the one doing the actual work, not me in the name of cost savings but the principles are sound. Running on corn is not rocket science. If it was we surely wouldn't be doing it, ha ;D.

basically bill I think Heath is just saying he will tell you have to make your current carb work with E85 until you can actually get the kit. Its possible to do it just wont be as efficient as it would be with the blocks...
