Heath, I tried to message you through here, but I couldnt. I was wondering what type of tester you were going to have? I have some good info I would like to share with you personally. You can email me at sclark101 at mcleodusa.net

Shannon I know just the kind of tester you speak of and from what I have heard they work great but they are expensive. I'm interested in seeing what kind of price you can come up with on yours. I am having trouble getting the water testers I was referring to but I'll post the measurements in case anyone wants to make there own. Things to buy. 1. Glass 50ml Graduated Test Tube 2. 10ml Syringe 3. Cork Fill the test tube with 7.2ml of water or alcohol. Mark the tube at this level. (Thin black marker) This is the water line. Add 16ml to that point and that is your 70% mark. Add 1.1ml to that point and that is your 75% mark. Keep adding 1.1ml for every 5% to you get to 100% marking each 5%. Once the tube is marked its ready to test.

Hi Heath, been a little bit since we talked. Anyways I got my Silverado running on E85 and I made up my own tester, and it works fine. A 50 ml is easier, but a 25 will work also. I just put in twice the amount of fuel to water, shake it, let it settle 10-15 minutes and read the bottom layer which will be the ethanol/water layer. Subtract the original water and the balance is the ethanol portion. Sundays Example: bought 10.73 gals of E85. The sample was 10 mls water, 20 mls e85. Shook it , let it settle, then had 25 mls on the bottom layer (gas is lighter then water). 25 minus the original 10 = ~15 mls ethanol. ~15 divided by 20 original fuel amount equals around 75% ethanol which mixed in my ~25 gal fuel tank gave me a 31% ethanol equivalent in the tank. With the tune up in it the truck is running great, almost like a 6000 # Vette!! LOL

Carlos my man, what's up dude? How did you know I was getting ready to email you. I had a buddy suggest that I call my Anglia King Korn and I thought that was fitting but I wanted to ask you since you and only you own the one and only King Kong Anglia. What do you think? Do you think that's korny ;D. Thanks for your input on the tester. That's what this board is all about. Hey, a guy from Rochester just sent us his carbs off his blown big block boat. So it sounds like corn fuel is slowly but surely making it's way to the great white northeast. Their going to eat it up on the water don't you think?

Hi Heath, King Korn is a good one....I like it!! LOL Keep doing those conversions!! Rochester area has 4 stations right now, we have 1...HA! Thats OK we are supposed to get one near the house pretty soon. I put a little more ethanol % in today ~ 48% in the tank by volume. The Silverado likes the E85, specially in the low to mid range. I am doing some testing and learning a lot to see whats going on inside, dont want to run out of injector too soon in the upper end!! Take care tell Justus we said Hi!! Carlos
