Hello All! New to the forum. I have an '09 SRT8 (6.1 Hemi) with a Kenne Bell twin screw supercharger only throwing about 5-6 lbs. of boost. I'm considering changing the pulley to throw more boost and running E85. My understanding of E85 (and I'm new to this) is that it burns cooler, creates no detonation and should be safe to do. I realize that I would need to change the injectors (about 30% more) and maybe add an additional fuel pump but in the end this should be safe. The stock motor runs 11/5:1 compression as it stands and on only 5-6 lbs of boost I'm getting 540 HP and 520 ft. lbs on premium fuel. I've already upped the fuel pump to support the current bigger injectors but my understanding is I may need to add an additional?
Anyone here have experience with this? Any suggestions, advice are absolutely welcome!
Thanks in advance!!!
Dave

I don't have any experience with your type of car but I know that if you can install a little larger injector in the engine I don't think you will need a bigger pump, its only 25-30% more fuel but I do know it will run alot cooler and haul AZZ if you can switch it over, good luck and welcome

Welcome fxstsrider. I bumped 2 older threads that may help you. The intake charge cooling effect of the e85 will definitely help you.
