my question is i know e85 can attract moisture i run it in my street car and didn't drive it that much this past year it has the billet metering blocks on the carb and the bowls were chrome when i took the carb apart in the bowl i noticed the white spots that moisture will leave on aluminum well my race car i want to run e85 cause it's cheaper than race fuel if i was to powder coat the inside of the bowls do you think it will protect it from moisture any help would be great
thank tom

Tom, just add lucas fuel stableizer for E-85 or use sta-bill for e-85 and you will have no issues, I use it in my race car as we speek with no issues, good luck

Another problem I ran across is never let the carb set dry like dont shut the fuel pump off and let it run out then sit even if its just a week. I had my accellerator pumps cake up and wound up messing up the power valve but Bean is definatly right about the Lucas ethanol treatment I add it to my barrel when I fill it up and I will add it to my jugs whenever I use any out of the drum. No more problems at all. If I let it set over the winter I drain the bowls and cell and add pb blaster to the bowls accellerator pumps needles and seats fuel pumps and drain my system. So far no problems.
