OK, newbie to E85 here. read through a lot of threads here and wow you guys really seem to be in the know. In the middle of a brand new built and almost ready for the dyno. Since I'm on a very tight budget, I started looking for a cost affective fuel racing fuel and almost bought the additive Race Gas. www.race-gas.com/ Then I came across E85? Very promising looking, cost effective and green. My question is were do I start and what conversions do I need? Here's my engine specs: BBC 496 Block 454 bore 4.310 stroke 4.250 comp 13.14 cam solid roller custom built by Delta Cams int lift 0.741 in exh lift 0.740 in LC 108.0 VO 104.0 int duration 320.00 exh duration 320.0 Comp cam gold roller rocker heads Edelbrock performer RPM ccv 118cc int RV 315cc exh RV 110cc holley pro dominator dual tunnel ram dual fresh rebuilt 1050 3 -ckt dominators 200hp port injected NOS fogger setup comp 9000 distributor MSD 6-AL Mallory pro coil stock gas tank with RobbMc fuel pickup -8 line and carb feeds Mallory comp 250 electric fuel pump 5250 for carbs Holley red pump with -6 for nos no fuel return trans t400 with trans brake, manual valve body and 4500 stall ford 9inch 35 spline axles and 4:56 spool belive thats about it off the top of my head...

You can send ur transmission my way if you didn't want it.. You can keep the engine, distributor is isn't in the right place!! Welcome to the site.. Let us know ur dyno numbers!

THE ONLY THING I'D DO SET MY GAPS ON TOP RING .002 BIGGER GET THE CARBS DONE AND SWAP THE FILTER ELEMENT TO SCREEN TYPE . YOU GOING TO NEED A BIGGER PUMP FEED LINE .-10 AND A GOOD 350+ PUMP THE STOCK TANK IF SUMPED TO REAR WILL WORK IF NOT THAN A CELL IS DUE. THE RED NOS PUMP NEEDS TO UPDATED WITH A BLACK REBUILD KIT FOR ALKY AS DOES THE HOLLEY REGULATOR DIAPHRAGMS . DEPENDS ON YOUR PLATE TUNE FOR GASOLINE .WE UPPED THE FUEL PSI AND FLOWED THE JET TILL WE GOT 35% MORE FUEL AND THEN PLAYED WITH PILLS AND TIME . THERE IS ALOT OF WINDOW TO TUNE AND SOME JUST TRY TO SMASH IT WITH A ROCK .DONT BE THAT GUY . GET CARBS RIGHT N/A WITH BEST TOTAL TIMING THEN HIT THE HOSE !
