Hello everyone. I'm in the process of converting my Chevelle over to E85 over the winter. I had it setup to run on 91 octane but was unhappy with the results. So this is what I have. It's a 70 chevelle (3500 lbs), 496 with TBS 8-71 huffer, 8.5:1 comp, 320cc Dart pro 1 heads, hydraulic lifters/rockers, CSU built boost/E85 750 cfm referenced carbs,MSD 6al btm, pro billet mechanical advance distributor, Powerglide with a 3200 stall, 3:73s, 31" tall tires, and an Aeromotive A1000 fuel system. I have never ran E85, and would love to pick your brains on it. The plan for the car is 12psi of boost and I'm trying to squeeze as much power out of it while still being streetable. Got any suggestions on a cam? What fuel pressure should I run? Timing? Plugs? Whatever u can help with would be awesome.

Welcome ironlung70! E85 works well in blown applications too. Justus can give good feedback on this as his car is supercharged. Give him a call. As far as being streetable, a quick pulley swap can take care of that! ;D

THE COUPE LIKED THE PULLEY FLIP FOR LONG TRIPS BUT IT KILLED THE BOOST ON PUMP GAS . your best bet is to call bullet cams or jones cams they do custom grinds and can put you where you want to be . Jonesy will keep ya on the phone for an hr picking your ideas apart as needed to get your objective of fast streetable blower and e85 . he ground my 55 chevy cam and it is by far the best comprimise to streetable as 4.56 gears and 400 cubes can get and still rip the strip
