E100 Lubricant Additive Question

First let me say thanks for the site and all of the helpful information it contains.

Last year I was running E90 that I was blending myself from E100 I purchased. This year I am going to run straight E100 but was wondering what additive to add to the mix and how much of it. Marvel recommends 4 ounces for every 10 gallons but their recommendation is for gasoline. I want to be safe but I don't want to add too much to cause a problem.

Don't really know since we just run E85 and don't add anything but if I had to guess I would say if you followed the guide lines for adding top lube to methanol that you couldn't go wrong. You may find that you can back off this some since ethanol is not as hard on stuff. Interesting post, if anyone knows I would like to know too.

I did some calling around and Marvel Mystery Oil is not recommended on anything over 85% ethanol. I did find that with methanol there is a product called "Top Lube" made by Manhattan Oil in California that Summit Racing sells. I called Manhattan and they said it is compatible with 100% ethanol and to just cut the recommended amount in half. Basically 8 ounces of top lube for 55 gallons of E100.

If anyone has any additional information or experiences let me know.

yea been there !!! anything with lube quality and is soluble in alky will work .
alot of the top lube/scents is castor oill or soap based . too much gums up the valves . if you can find sunoco race fuels top lube,it is the best. it has a qrt to drum mix ratio and wont kill power or cold start . if ya use the ny stuff mix it a n gal jug with 1 qrt of acetone and your alky of choice and then add the whole gal . to your drum. . the acetone will suspend the oils and lower the flash point of your fuel and keeps rich idle clean and burning off the oils ......... also the right time to add your nitro propane,nitromethane or polypropelene oxide ...... like your all never wanted to add pop to your tanks!!! thats how you have to do it
(if doing it to a race gas still use alky in gal jug , the whole chemistry thing for gas will blow yer minds)
