Hi my name is Casey Lee and I am from northern Ohio. I bought a trans. off of a guy in Calhoun Ky and he refered me to this site. I cant remember his name but he was very helpful. I want to kinda get a baseline on where to start. This is a completely new setup and i have not had it running yet but I am getting close. I have a 460 with an offset crank that ends up being around 496 inches. It has aluminum rods and 12.5 to 1 comp. I have first gen scj aluminum heads that have been fully ported but not sure the flow #s.The intake is a victor. The cam is .713 lift with 304 to 310 duration. My fuelsystem is an aeromotive a1000 pump and bypass regulator with -10 feed and -8 return. The carb is proform main body, proform blocks, and proform 850 baseplate. The cam says 4000 to 7400 but I really dont want to have to spin it that hard if I dont have to. I really didnt want something this radical but I got a killer deal on it. I would like to know first off if I can run these metering blocks? I would also like to know where to start with jets, squirters, and air bleeds. Any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks. Casey

Welcome to the board bigblocktop. Let me start out by saying that with a cam and intake like that, your going to have to spin it brother. But have no fear, E85 is here. I assume that is an 850 Proform main body as well. What you need to do is change or modify the metering blocks to E85 specs then change your bleeds, (possible the biggest change) needle and seats and main jets to E85 specs which have been posted before but I'll give them to you again. Proform gas main body-.025 hi-speed air bleed/.065 idle air bleed .130 needle and Seat .045 accelerator pump nozzle for starters and drill bigger for best throttle response from there. And main jets that are 8 to 10 sizes bigger than an optimum gasoline tune-up - period. I know there's a lot of BS floating around on the internet but I am here to tell you man, that's all you need. That's everything in my stage I kit so if you want me to hook you up than I'm here for you. You can try the stock Proform blocks but I just don't think you'll be happy with them. If you do and they work for you post your results. Thanks - Heath.
