Adam are you being serious about grinding the syncros? I have never heard that mod with a ford T5

Here's one of our 1st E85 passes. 12:1 427 with Chevy 049 Oval Port heads, .650 lift roller. Using a 850DP converted to E85 by Mark Sullens (DragChevette): www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y-tnTH4N_xY

Nice pass aatwracing. I know Mark Sullens. He's a nice guy and builds a nice carb as well. Your's sure looks and sounds clean from bottom end to top end. Mark knows E85 is where it's at and so will everyone before to long. Keep hittin' the track and keep those "green" fumes a flyin' brother.

Here's my '78 Malibu street car. 388ci, MPFI, E85. Has been low 12's but should be mid to high 11's with recent cyl head upgrade and return to 4.30 gear.

Just an update; On that 8.72 pass we went 5.53 at 124 in the 1/8th. We've since thrown more jetting at it and gone numerous 5.48/5.49s at 125+ in 1/8th mile bracket competition. That converts to an estimated 1/4 mile ET of mid/high 8.60s at 153+. Hopefully we'll verify it this week at a test-n-tune. This particular motor has a unique set of challenges in that the cam profile we're using only nets about 5" to 5.5" of vacuum at idle. Because of that, we're having to "git-r-drunk" at idle to avoid an off-idle hesitation... So far, we haven't found a point in increased downtrack jetting that slows the car down. Surprisingly, EGTs haven't varied more than 50 degrees over 10 jet numbers. I am recording/logging the EGTs every 1/5th or 1/10th of a second on the runs, so I feel comfortable that we're not hurting any parts... Plugs are spotless/clean, showing only the rich at idle condition. I just haven't found the point that more jetting slows it down any. I'm trying to borrow an LM-1 or LM-2 to see what the O2s are doing. -Tim Nice pass aatwracing. I know Mark Sullens. He's a nice guy and builds a nice carb as well. Here is my "Junk" 1970 Dodge Charger 500 Old Pro Stock 426 Hemi (made a little more street friendly) 727 trans. 8 3/4" rear end that I guess will explode at some point.. Need beefier rear axel.. But one thing at a time... Me at the track back in 2006. This is the last run, about 3sec after this picture was taken the old 440 died a horrible death... But on a positive note, it still managed 13sec flat and I lifted long before the finish line. Didint want to push the car back to the pits. The autopsy finds: 6 cylinders busted, 7 piston pins stuck, exhaust lobe on no 3 cylinder gone and a busted up lifter... This is how I got home... The new bullit... /Tom
