Without a doubt this title for a full body car (and any other type of car for now as far as I know) belongs to getdusted. Here's his 1/4 mile numbers: 60 ft - 1.15 3.30 - 3.32 6.60 - 5.14 @ 132.78 1000 6.71 1320 - 8.065 @ 167.25 This is in a 67 Camaro that weighs 3400lbs. If anyone else wants to contend post up your numbers and maybe we can get a King on the Corn race set up for next season (maybe at a ProE85 event). I see this going down with a spec fuel guaranteed to be E85 from a regular gas station provided at the track. If this is already being done let us know, if not what cha think?

Don't know all the details but there was a full bodied Firebird at LRP a couple weeks back that went 4.77 in 1/8th on E85..

just an update.....made the 7's .. the blown e-85 camaro went 7.92 on radials at test and tune thanks to the tune on 472 efi " @8000 rpm and 25 pound of boost now if i can get it to hook better! and a better manifold /throttle body that doesn't show a psi differential OF 5 PSI ! it was rich up stairs and only pulled 178......previous gas pass was 7.89 @ 180 .....owner is getting bigger throttle body and wilson intake and redoing intercooler for less restriction and heat .cant wait till march .2010 ....sorry to say he does not trust the pump e-85 as the last batch showed it as 80% and had moisture he bought the race stuff....... my best guess is when dialed in this pig will hit the 7.60 and or 190 mph this spring testing at cecil or atco .

How did he determine he had moisture Adam?
Few people would have the correct gravity bulb for E85 (dubious accuracy given different gas types and quantity) and even fewer would have access to a Karl Fisher test to detect water.
I do take his point on the varying E% though.

i used the tester Heath sells for the % . think he used the one from the old shops blown alky promod . he hada chart for temp adjust for specific gravity ? it was just a weighted float and tube/thermobulb

i used the tester Heath sells for the % . think he used the one from the old shops blown alky promod . he hada chart for temp adjust for specific gravity ? it was just a weighted float and tube/thermobulb When I looked at buying one for my my stations I sat down with our lab rat and when I found out I would need 3 different bulbs minimum for the range in E85- Threw out that idea as not practical. First is owning three bulbs without breaking one, second- I needed to test the alcohol content first to determine which bulb to use. I would think that a methanol bulb would have been floating far to high for accuracy. I may stand to be corrected if there is a type we could not find (we have ethanol only bulbs here). I would be interested if there is a wide range bulb that is accurate for E85 but we could not find one in our lab catalogs. He also should know that with the Rockett E85 the gravity will be different than pump E85 due to the race gas hydrocarbon gravity being different than normal gas- this alone will make him scratch his head thinking water if he did not take a baseline when he opened the drum.

dang just saw this sorry , no up date he is still going to use the rocket drum e-85 for safty sake . hey he is far smarter than me on this blown alky stuff . when ef hutton talks i listen . he's the one we called when we started popping and going lean. when my bro's turbo blowthru added 100% methanol (not a water alkymix) in the nozzles for pre cooling and added fuel .......darnest thing .005 nozzle was good but not enough .015 was little lean and .030 went bang ,pop pop pop ..... he told us that adding meth. at that high psi and volume to hot turbo boost cooled the charge temp so low it did not have enough fuel to cover the lean hole it made. he called it the wall.... little ok ,water ok, marginal not good . add alot more then up the boost till it is happy @!!!! dang if it did not work better with all nozzles on!

i will run anyone here and spot you 10 lengths. My fastest is 16.85 in the 1/4, 70 mph range. We have to make two left turns in the 1/4, run on dirt with a 9" tread tire, and do a 25 lap race tho.
