To start out- yes I read the sticky (multiple times and keep referencing it) and had a couple other people read it as well. I am new to e85 and the few tuners/ engine builders that I am close with, have never used it so I am the guinea pig.... After doing a bunch of research here and a few other places, I did get a wideband gauge and have it set to the Lambda scale. At idle, it is right around 1.0 give or take just a little bit- because of the cam. Making a pass, the car seems to run good, (I haven’t been able to watch the wideband while racing but am working on getting a go pro to see what it does) I do have the “alarm” set if it gets too lean and I have a fuel pressure “alarm” if it drops too much- neither of them have gone off. It doesn’t like to cruise much but I do have a dominator on it and am still trying to tune everything- mainly for the track, and then get it street friendly. The first pics I am going to post are of a plug that I put in, made a pass, shut the car down at the 1/4 mile, coasted to return road and pulled. The rest of the pics are of plugs that made 2 passes, and drove back down return road to the trailer. To me, the plug I pulled out right after a pass looks brand new- I did check to make sure it was getting spark. I don’t understand if I’m supposed to read the insulator, the center electrode, the threads, the goldish ring at the end of the threads or??? As far as air/fuel mix. I keep reading that the ring is supposed to be white- mine are all goldish except on the #7 cylinder (last pics), the goldish ring at the top of the plug (the end of the threads where the ground strap is connected to), the insulator, ground strap, and the center electrode are all a lot darker color than the other ones. Is this 1 cylinder running rich? Is something else not right? Also, is the “timing mark/ blue line” supposed to go from the end of the ground strap to the bend or from the bottom of the ground strap to the bend? Thank you for any help.
