I had a 12.1 355 last season and ran it very little. I'm using a quick fuel 750 e85 carb. I decided that a new power plant was in order this year and built a 427 stroker with afr heads. When I took the old 355 down it looked like I had a blown head gasket but it was e85! What am I missing!?!?!?! I love e85 but if this is normal I'm going back to regular fuel

I posted on your other posting, I think you could have had to much getting by the rings or a venting problem anyway it will get a little foggy but not to bad, good luck with your new build.

ya it smells like e85, bb I think I'm going to send this 850 I scored out and have a pro go through it. triple the vac system I guess isnt really that bad but I cant seem to find one where I can run a mechanical water pump . I just priced out a new fuel system, I want to do a pump in the cell but aeromotive is WAAYYYY out of what I'm willing to spend. Any suggestions? Doing a 20gal cell or larger e85 is still kinda hard to come by in michigan.

OMG brutal hasn't even been the word for the last two BB, and every one that goes by makes me want to move south more and more. Wow I guess I'm pretty lucky then 427 I just went out and picked up 10 gallons, they are still delivering 80% at the station I go to, paid 1.89/gal.

You guys suck! All I can get here is E70. That's all they're allowed to sell here in La. On top of that, there is only one place to get it & it's about 60 miles from me! Last purchase was 1.54.

I can get plastic 50 gallon drums from work. I working in the heTinc and cooling world so I was thinking about getting a couple barrels and filling them. I have a vacuum pump I use for a/c systems, I know this stuff likes moisture so I would pull a vacuum on drum every time.

On another note I picked up the aeromotive cell phantom stealth 340 system with 20gal cell. I hope it works pump says its good for 1k HP. Not sure where I will end up on power side but I should have PLENTY of room. I spoke with aeromotive and they gave me a formula for figuring out fuel systems. You take your flywheel horsepower and divide by .7. The result would give you the HP that your pump should be able to support on gasoline now with e85 he said add 30% to your end HP number.
