Yep there's no arguing the 60' time difference, like I said it was just a lousy day all the way around.

Do you find a noticeable difference in how far you have roll from pre stage to stage in each lane?

Man I think you've nailed this right on the head!! For this whole year so far I've always thought when staging in the left lane, man it sure seems to take a long distance to stage from pre-stage in this lane. So yes there is a noticeable difference, now the question is, which lane is off, and I guess that isn't really as important as it is to get both lanes as close to the same as possible. This is the most in depth talk I've had yet about this, when we're out there racing the guys all seem to have their own idea's as to what the problem is, sometimes it takes somebody not involved with running at this track to sit back and look at it. I'm going to run this past some of the guys I know and trust out there and see what they think on Sunday. I should have plenty of time to play around with it, we have 2 more races in a row before we get a week off. It also really helps having the truck run so consistent now, I mean 3 passes in that left lane Sunday over a 5 hour time period with numbers almost identical is excellent. Now this Sunday may be a little different I've only got the 5 gallon fuel cell full and maybe another gallon of the 80% fuel so that will be gone about after 1 elimination run and I'll be into the 85%. What kind of difference if any do you think I'll see in the times with that 5% increase??

Yes, you're right. Most important that the rollout be equal in both lanes. In your case, the better scenario is that the right be made equal to the left since you red light in the right. Plus, the long rollout quickens ET's which strokes our egos.

What I would do with the fuel situation is mix it with the e85. Mix it with as much E85 as you can, that way it's closer to 85. At least mix enough to get you through the next race. That way, there's no fuel change during the race.

Ok good that's exactly what I was thinking, I'm going tomorrow to get the empty 5 gallon jug filled so I'll have 10 gallons of 85% to work with.

Can you change your spot on the tree in the right lane to keep from red lighting without it causing you to be way late?

Well in the 2 qualifying runs Sunday the 1st one I staged as short as I possibly could and left the same as I do in the left lane and my RT was .0019 (way close to red) the 2nd pass I staged short again and tried leaving just after I saw the last yellow and the RT was .1019 In the left lane I'm usually .02 - .03

Here's something for you to try in the right lane. I know it's probably going to sound silly, but it should help. Try staging crooked. The angle simulates staggering the front wheels which increases rollout. Leave at your normal spot on the tree. This should slow down your R.T. & pick up your 60'.

You're right it sounds crazy, but that doesn't bother me, I'll try it and see how it works out. I'm also going to try the dominant eye thing and I'll try closing my left eye and see how that works on a pass in the right lane. They may just call the boys in the white coats to come and pick me up. One pass staged crooked, the next with one eye closed.....LOL

I don't think racers will ever be known to be the most stable minded!!! You can believe the track ambulance knows where the closest mental hospital is located!
